Floating Boat Dock

Floating docks are floating structures which are designed and built to function as a standard dry dock. This type of feature is constructed using select materials which are highly resilient but capable of floating above the water. A floating dock is beneficial because it is inexpensive in comparison to alternatives. Also, these structures can be dismantled if necessary. Piling Docks

Piling boat docks are designed as permanent or immovable features for the marina. They are highly stable which makes them a favourable choice for large water vessels. This docking structure is constructed by driving piling into the bed of the water body. These piles are cylindrical wooden or concrete beams similar to those used in deep foundations. When they penetrate the bed, they will form a stable base for the dock. After completion of the piling installation process, you can build the desired decking. The cost of making a piling dock is quite high because of the high-grade materials and the complicated construction process. However, you will have long-term service from the structure. 

Pipe Piling Dock

The pipe boat dock is a variant of the standard piling type, and it is designed to reduce the total costs of purchasing materials and installing the structure. In general, this feature uses pipes instead of wooden beams or other solid structural members for the process. The hollow tubes are relatively cheaper, and they are easier to handle because of their lighter weight. Therefore, they can be driven into the waterbed with more ease. This feature will be permanent, and it will provide long-term service with the right maintenance. While it is not as robust as the standard piling, it will meet most docking requirements.
